Made from gel-spun polyethylene, this micro fused, braided bead thread is one of the strongest fibres per diameter. n the USA, and is a pre-waxed, braided cord consisting of gel-spun polyethylene which is known as the strongest fibre: It has unbelievably high tensile strength, and although new, it has already been recommended for various bead weaving, and jewellery making projects.
S-Lon Fire comes in both clear and black, and in various spool sizes.
Current sizes & specs:
6lb size – fine – 0.15mm  av diam – 46mt / 50yd spools – either clear, or black  –  suitable for up to #12 beading needles and small holed seeds & beads.
8lb size – 0.17mm  av diam – 46mt / 50yd spools – Clear or Black.Â
